One more treasure unearthed from the Lovespirals archive! Back in 2014 while we were still writing and recording our song “Are You Lonely” from our 2018 album ‘Life Goes On,’ Anji filmed an impromptu music video. Earlier this day she had filmed a recipe demo for the duo’s Happy Healthy Vegan channel, so since she was dressed up and had the camera and lights set up, she just had a bit of fun with the 8mm video app. Anyway, nearly a decade later, here is the final completed music video for your viewing enjoyment!

The perfect end of summer soundtrack, “Lonely Sunset” is a chill house song featuring gorgeously ethereal vocals and bittersweet melodies. It’s been a while since Anji and Ryan released a dance track but this ones worth the wait!
Anji’s plaintive lyrics of lost love were penned and recorded a decade ago and might have made an amazing addition to the 2014 Anji Bee album the duo released as a side project. The late night laid back grooves of this new recording are reminiscent of Bee’s “Got All I Need” and “Try To Forget,” but with an added sheen of sophistication in the production.
Lovespirals have long straddled the line between dream pop and electronica, but this new track brings both worlds together in a glorious fusion. After the throwback retro shoegaze of the band’s last single, “The Call,” this new single is likely to surprise — but hopefully delight — Lovespirals listeners.

This midnight vibes video highlights our own downtown Long Beach for a moody change of pace. This is the first time Lovespirals have created a music video for every song on a release, and we’re pretty excited about it.

Anji and Ryan will be hosting a live premier of the ‘Smile’ music video on their YouTube channel on Monday March 7th, 2022 at 6pm PST. They will chat with viewers as the video plays for the first time.
As a small indie band working DIY with no label or PR company, Anji and Ryan very much appreciate the support of fans and their help in getting the word out! Over the past 2-3 years I’ve been filming various scenes I thought would work well with the lyrical concept and I finally took the time to edit them together for this fun must video that contrasts black and white and super colorful scenes. The parasol scenes were shot on Laguna Beach during the performance of ‘The Shoreline Project’ by artist Elizabeth Turk. We had randomly been on site just as 1000 people converged for this performance piece, and it was quite surreal! The carousel and teacups ride scenes were both shot at Disneyland, and the stupa scene was shot at Maui Dharma Center in Paia.

Lovespirals’ soulful new single, “Why Not Today?” is now available on Bandcamp! With extremely chill vibes and super smooth production, “Why Not Today?” pulls from our r&b/soul side with a little jazz and blues twist. The first single from Lovespirals’ 2007 album, ‘Long Way From Home,’ was a heart-rending ethereal blues cover of the anonymous American spiritual, “Motherless Child.” It also appears on the ‘Motherless Child EP‘ released September 16, 2007. Anji filmed the scenes for this music video on a road trip to Sonoma County, California.
