Reviews continue to emerge for Falling You’s Metanoia, released this past December. Several of them have mentioned Anji’s work on the album closer, “Philomena.”

New Age Music Reviews said of the track:

From the haunting bluesy guitar licks at the beginning of the trippy, mystical and deeply immersive opening track “Throw the Stone” (featuring vocalist Colleen Seagal) through the hypnotically spacey, sensually propulsive closer “Philomena” (featuring Anji Lum), the theme of Metanoia is change in response to external factors vs. growth from internal ones.

New Music Alert highlighted the track’s emotional arc:

Closing the album, Anji Lum’s vocal presence, supported by Ryan Lum’s guitar and percussion, offers a sense of gentle resolution. Rather than closure, the track provides acceptance—a soft landing after a long emotional journey.

Aural Aggravation calls it a fitting finale to the album, as well as the tryptic “of the album’s ten-minute epics“:

The album’s final track, ‘Philomena’ effectively completes the triptych, pulsing along gently and dreamily before slowly tapering away to nothingness. It’s a fitting conclusion to an album which at times is so vaporous and vague, it’s barely there – which is precisely the design.

For listeners drawn to ambient, ethereal, and emotionally resonant music, Metanoia is not simply recommended; it is essential. This is an album that does not end when the final track fades, but continues to resonate quietly, like a change that has already begun to take root.
