Ryan and Anji sit down in the Chillcuts studio to discuss their new single, “Not Myself,” including the creation, inspiration, cover art, and music video. The duo also share stories about their prior single, “Noumenon,” the ‘Flux’ vinyl and popularity of it’s first track, releasing singles over albums, updates to the band’s websites, how Anji’s former bandmate has been helping out with old tech, and more in this fun half hour long conversation available on the LovespiralsOfficial YouTube channel.
Lovespirals’ new single, “Not Myself,” is a nostalgic nod to the band’s early millennium chillout sound with gently soulful vocals and a classic laid-back bluesy guitar solo adding layers of emotion and depth, making “Not Myself” a reflective and soothing experience for fans of introspective electronica. In contrast to the darker and more despairing vibe of “Noumenon,” the duo’s new release invites quiet meditation. The music video, filmed and edited by band lyricist, vocalist, and co-producer, Anji “Bee” Lum, plays right into the song’s vibes with its chill California coastline imagery.
