Had our first real practice session yesterday. Made a few tweaks to the song lineup, and now we think we have something both comfortable and dynamic. After several run throughs we both felt nice ‘n’ loose. Ryan’s got quite a few guitar solos to perform, something he’s never really done in prior live shows, so he’s a bit nervous. We have yet to practice with Doron, who will be handling several solos for us on sax, so that should be exciting to hear. So far, though, so good. 5 more weeks to go!

MacNETv2, a fansite for Mac users, just posted an

interview with Ryan and Anji discussing their use of Macs in music, design,
and website creation.

Windblown Kiss has gone into production! Due out June 18, 2002, the album
contains 10 tracks (plus a bonus “hidden track” shhhh) totaling 47 minutes.
The album includes two collaborations with Australian singer/songwriter, Sean Bowley
(formerly of Eden), in addition to several guest appearances by Doron Orenstein
(of L.A.’s Frescoe), on saxophone.

Intended for the media, the site includes high quality downloadable art and photos,
as well as press releases, audio clips and contact information. Much of this material
will also be included on the official homepage, which is slated to launch this April.

We’ve been fiddling around all month with a few different ideas for the new website, and now we’re whittling them down to come up with something really nice. Should be exciting to see how it all turns out!

We’ve been working really hard the past month getting our album art and promotional materials together for the album. Susan Jennings provided us with all the photographs, of which there were quite a few to choose from! I did all the design work, with some input from Ryan, of course. I thought we’d never get it together, but we’re sending off the artwork to Projekt this week, at long last!

has been updated with brand new artwork and band photos (courtesy photographer Susan Jennings), as well as 2 tracks from Windblown Kiss, the upcoming full-length album for Projekt Records. Also added is an audio interview with Sean Flinn, discussing the influence of Jazz music on recent Lovespirals recordings.
