About Lovespirals

The lovespirals.com site was launched in 1999 by Ryan Lum as the official home of Love Spirals Downwards. In 2001 he acquired lovespiralsdownwards.com, initially using the new site as an archive for earlier material and the original site for promoting his contemporary work with creative partner, Anji. Ryan and Anji Lum have released over four dozen albums, eps, and singles -- in genres including dream pop, downtempo, deep house, neo soul, alt country and more--as Lovespirals, Love Spirals Downwards, and even Anji Bee, as well as collaborations with other artist. In 2024, Lum returned to the original full name to streamline the project’s digital presence and continue his long-standing tradition of independent production.
